As the name suggests, 47 botanicals form the basis of Monkey 47, a gin that – as legend has it – goes back to Royal Airforce Commander Montgomery Collins, his monkey and the end of World War II. Using only hand-picked ingredients, Alexander Stein, offspring of the brandy dynasty Jacobi, has been distilling superb Schwarzwälder Gin since 2006.
